Unofficial Archive

After four years of feeling like something was missing from my life, I got an e-mail that helped make me feel whole again.

On 1 October, 2008 I managed to get a job (after 4 months of looking), I got a paycheck for some consulting work I had done a while back, but as wonderful as those things were the real highlight of my day was finding out that BumpList was back online!

If you don't know about the BumpList you are not alone, but you are missing out on a fun social experiment. And in it's newest form it will be a part of a show opening at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) called "The Art of Participation: 1950 to Now" (running November 8, 2008, through February 8, 2009). (Press release is at http://www.sfmoma.org/press/pressroom.asp?do=exhibitions&id=367)

Since I had an archive of the original (Classic) Bumplist online for a while, I have tried to recreats that as much as possible. Unfortunately, the Database that I had to access all of the stats and charts and stuff is no more, but I am going to recreate it for the current version.

So check out the Classic links to get a feel of what it was like "in the old days" and make sure to head over to bumplist.net to join in the fun. Lots of new folk are participating and the old timers are showing up too. Look forward to Bumping into you on the List!
